Senior Configuration Specialist - Workday Financials

Location Details: Remote India

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

Our Transformation team is seeking a Senior Workday Configuration Specialist to design, test, and implement scalable configuration changes that align the Workday Financials platform with our constantly evolving business processes!

What you'll get to do...

• Collaborate with Finance & Accounting teams to develop efficient, scalable Workday solutions aligned with company policies and standard methodologies
• Collaborate closely with collaborators to capture requirements, build and test solutions, and help drive adoption of new Workday features as they’re released
• Take the lead on complex projects—guiding technical work, collaborating in scrum ceremonies, and ensuring smooth teamwork across departments
• Spot opportunities to improve processes, prototype new insights, and share knowledge by mentoring teammates and leading cross-training sessions
• Maintain high standards by reviewing team configurations, ensuring detailed testing and documentation, and continuously improving quality
• Support end users through training and clear mentorship, while helping shape and streamline how requests are managed across teams

Your experiences should include...

• 4+ years of hands-on experience configuring Workday Financials
• Strong understanding of Workday’s business process framework, including business process configuration, security, condition rules, calculated fields, and custom reporting
• Expertise in standardizing core finance functions such as Financial Accounting/FDM, Banking & Settlement, Expenses, and Customer Accounts
• Proven track record of leading and deploying complex Workday system improvements
• Skilled at crafting scalable, business-aligned solutions that follow standard methodologies

You might also have...

• Experienced in Agile/Scrum methodologies and Workday implementations, with full-cycle involvement from planning to post-deployment support
• Skilled in supporting multi-national organizations, with a strong understanding of global business operations and cross-regional needs
• Background in managing system and process changes during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration
• Proficient in public company compliance, including Sarbanes–Oxley (SOX) requirements!
• Brings functional expertise in Accounting, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash, supported by a bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Computer Science
