Dyson is a global technology enterprise. We solve the problems others choose to ignore, with surprising new inventions that defy convention and simply work better. We’re growing fast and our ambition is huge - more categories, more locations and more people.
About the roleAs a member of the Wireless Hardware Team, you will be based in Malaysia and work within a global project team environment to deliver the wireless electronic hardware solutions for new and pioneering connected consumer products. The role will require a highly motivated, creative, methodical, and flexible person ready to take on challenges with a balance of creative and pragmatic engineering approaches.
Develop wireless hardware for new projects and deliver integrated electronic and antenna hardware solutions.
Define requirements, lead design reviews, perform technical risk analysis, and proactively investigate to solve problems.
Perform RF antenna simulation using EM CAD tools to design the optimal antenna solutions for challenging integrated applications.
Prove hardware designs are robust with comprehensive laboratory RF design verification.
Ensure design solutions meet product specifications and functional requirements (performance, reliability, DFM, cost and compliance with international regulatory standards).
Liaise and collaborate with various Dyson engineering teams across the UK and Southeast Asia to drive products through to production.
Define manufacturing RF testers requirements and support factory queries for any yield issue related to tester.
Produce detailed engineering materials including design schematics, PCB layouts, tolerance analysis, design notes, failure analysis reports, and technical review documents.
Contribute towards ongoing electronics development process improvement activities.
You will be an RF Design Engineer capable of working to generate high quality design solutions with minimal oversight and assistance from Senior engineering staff. Preferably you will have experience of consumer products and the whole product development lifecycle, from initial concept through to high volume production and product sustainability.

What We Do
At Dyson we are focused on solving the problems that others have ignored; solving them first using our technology and ingenuity. In order to achieve this we need to pioneer technologies that are different and authentic. This is the core of what we do and who we are. We must strive to create the future, every single day by developing new things, different things, things that go against the grain with a diverse and global team of ingenious minds.
Dyson employs over 14,000 people and is present in more than 80 countries. And while we are growing fast we want Dyson to remain a start-up in spirit with the freedom of experimentation and learning, constantly reinventing our products as well as reinventing how we work, how we sell and how we support our owners. At the same time we are working through the James Dyson Foundation, James Dyson Award and Dyson Institute to inspire future engineers and pioneering a new approach to engineering education.
Underlining everything we do in this diverse environment is the need to always show respect, supporting each other as one team to overcome whatever challenges we encounter. We drive empowerment, development and equality in an inclusive environment for our people around the world.
The future doesn’t just happen, we look to make it happen, to achieve leaps through pioneering new ideas
