The Senior Administrator provides hands-on day-to-day technical support for Windows & VMware systems at an experienced level. The scope of this position includes mission critical support for Windows & VMware servers, all of which are in our Global Datacenters and Regional Datacenters. This individual will be part of a team that is responsible for the following operational areas: support, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting, and participating in technology driven projects to enhance our service.
Job Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and administer Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025) environments.
- Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and PKI/Certificate Services.
- Install, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, vMotion..
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Hyper-V clusters, failover clustering.
- Perform EOL Windows Server upgrades, VMware ESXi/vCenter upgrades, and migration projects.
- Implement and support disaster recovery solutions (Zerto, Veeam, Hyper-V Replica).
- Apply system patching, upgrades, and security hardening.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for complex server, virtualization, and Powerflex storage issues.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell/PowerCLI for routine tasks and reporting.
- Document technical processes, architecture, SOPs, knowledge base articles, and disaster recovery playbooks.
- Handle incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution within defined SLAs.
- Drive Problem Management by identifying root causes of recurring issues and implementing permanent fixes.
- Provide L2/L3 support and manage day-to-day infrastructure operations.
- Participate in Change Management by planning, documenting, and executing system changes in line with ITIL standards.
- Assist in infrastructure migration, consolidation, and capacity planning projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Computers or related field
- 5 - 9 years of IT experience and worked as a lead handling major projects/initiative
- Hands on Experience in Windows & VMware and part of troubleshooting and RCA analysis
- Proven expertise in EOL Windows Server upgrades and VMware ESXi/vCenter upgrades.
- Strong experience in Incident, Problem, and Service Request Management with focus on SLA adherence.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across Windows, VMware, Hyper-V, and Powerflex storage.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and Certificate Services.
- Proficiency in VMware vSphere/vCenter, HA/DRS, SRM.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V clusters, failover clustering, and replication.
- Experience with DR solutions (Zerto , Veeam, Hyper-V Replica).
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting (PowerCLI a plus).
- Experience with patch management tools (WSUS, SCCM, Third part tools).
- Strong skills in technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

Skills Required
