The Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Web Developer with expertise in WordPress to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about building, optimizing, and maintaining WordPress websites to ensure seamless functionality, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end and back-end web development, a passion for creating exceptional user experience, and the ability to manage complex WordPress projects efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and customize WordPress themes and plugins while ensuring responsive, cross-browser compatibility.
- Convert PSD or Adobe designs into fully functional WordPress themes.
- Perform regular updates to WordPress core, themes, and plugins while troubleshooting site errors and enhancing security.
- Optimize website performance using caching, image compression, database improvements, and SEO best practices.
- Ensure website stability, uptime, and performance; be available for occasional after-hours support in case of urgent site issues.
- Ensure compliance with CCPA and GDPR by implementing and managing cookie banners using OneTrust or similar tools.
- Partner with the demand generation team to implement and manage website analytics using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for performance tracking.
- Provide technical support by resolving WordPress functionality issues, hosting challenges, and SSL/DNS configurations.
- Ensure overall website stability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in building and maintaining WordPress sites with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
- Coding capabilities in modern web languages such as HTML, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience working with enterprise-level marketing automation tools such as WordPress, Gravity Forms, WooCommerce, WP Engine, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve critical website issues, with flexibility for rare night and weekend availability as needed for emergency site support.
- Experience in website performance optimizations and web security best practices.
- Ability to implement and troubleshoot GTM scripting and Google Analytics reporting, creating website integrations with Google AdWords, LinkedIn, Facebook Ad Manager, and other PPC and paid advertising campaign management tools.
- Experience in WordPress themes and builders including Elementor.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce.
- Familiarity with SEO tools and practices including Google Analytics and SEMRush.
