Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Web Developer to join our Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in website development, performance optimization, and user experience enhancement. This role requires expertise in front-end and back-end development, with strong proficiency in WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and performance optimization techniques.As a Senior Web Developer, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing our digital assets, ensuring a seamless and high-performing user experience. You will collaborate closely with the marketing, design, and content teams to drive engagement and enhance website functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Development & Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and optimize company websites, landing pages, and digital assets to enhance user experience and performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive and high-performance marketing websites and landing pages.
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to translate creative concepts into functional and engaging web experiences.
- WordPress Development: Customize themes, plugins, and templates, ensuring security, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Performance Optimization: Improve website speed, SEO performance, and overall site efficiency through code optimization, caching strategies, and best development practices.
- Front-End & UI Development: Implement clean and modern UI designs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.js.
- Back-End Development: Develop and maintain backend functionality using PHP, MySQL, and API integrations to ensure seamless performance.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, content, and design teams to implement new website features and optimize the user journey.
- SEO & Analytics Integration: Ensure SEO best practices are followed and integrate tracking solutions (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, etc.) for performance monitoring.
- Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, regular website audits, and compliance with accessibility standards.
- Troubleshooting & Debugging: Diagnose and resolve website issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in web development, WordPress, and website performance optimization.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), PHP, and MySQL.
- Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development/customization.
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks like React.js, Vue.js, or jQuery.
- Strong understanding of website performance optimization, including Core Web Vitals, page speed, caching, and CDNs.
- Experience with SEO best practices and integrating tracking tools (GA4, Google Tag Manager, etc.).
- Proficiency in using Git, CI/CD tools, and version control systems.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience with web security best practices (SSL, firewalls, data protection).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in CMS development (e.g., WordPress with Next.js).
- Familiarity with cloud hosting solutions like AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies.
