POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Web Designer will work as a collaborative part of EarnIn’s Product team and is responsible for crafting the overall user experience of EarnIn’s customer-facing web presence — including earnin.com, marketing landing pages, and special projects. As a web designer at EarnIn, you’ll play a central role in defining and expanding the website experience and the digital expression of the EarnIn brand. You should be comfortable taking strategy briefs and conceptualizing how to best support the project’s goals via our website's UX/UI design while also sweating the small things with meticulous attention to detail as you bring exciting ideas to life. In this position, you will work closely with Product designers, the Marketing team, Copywriters, Web Engineers, and other cross-functional partners.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on designer who can take the reins and drive the strategic approach while looking to flex their visual storytelling and conceptual thinking skills for a brand eager to make an impact. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Partner with product managers, marketers, creative directors, copywriters, and engineers to conceptualize and develop groundbreaking creative for the website
• Own the creation of web pages, design assets, and implementation of our Design System for earnin.com
• Strategize, brainstorm, concept, collaborate, comp, and present innovative creative garners buy-in while helping the team net measurable results.
• Develop preliminary concepts into refined, comprehensive design solutions
• Work to define new sections and experiences of the EarnIn website as it grows and matures over time
• Co-create with other designers, copywriters, marketers, and product managers
• Support marketing team members to complete projects, exhibiting strong time management skills and understanding of internal processes
• Work independently without heavy creative oversight
• Be a steward of and maintain the EarnIn Brand
• Stay updated with the creative evolution of web marketing and advertising in all mediums, specifically within our industry, paying particular attention to our competitors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Design, Visual Communications, or a similar area of study
• 4+ years in web design, preferably in-house (or a mix of in-house and agency)
• UX/UI design experience; experience designing visual design assets for websites and/or apps/digital products
• Strategic thinker with the ability to solve problems, even when they are not fully defined
• Demonstrated ability to take on multiple projects concurrently and adapt to changing schedules and priorities
• Use of principles and tools across the end-to-end design process, including Figma and the Adobe suite
• Experience working with and implementing a Design System
• Experience in working with and managing a content management system (CMS); Contentful experience a strong plus
• A user-centered design mindset
• Ability to actively contribute to strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
• A portfolio must be submitted for this role, showcasing high-quality creative expertise in web design
• Advanced Figma experience 
• Ability to thrive in a fully remote team environment
• Experience working with other companies in fintech, or the financial services industry is a strong plus
