Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and quality policies, procedures, and safe work practices
  • Coordinate the receipt, inspection, identification, storage, preservation, movement, and issuance of materials, equipment, and consumables
  • Verify received packages, quantities, and supporting documents against applicable delivery records
  • Assess the condition of materials and packaging before unloading, and report damage, shortages, overages, or discrepancies to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Record receipt details, package identification, quantities, dates, and material traceability information accurately and completely
  • Inspect materials, equipment, accessories, and bulk items for condition, grade, quantity, identification, and compliance with delivery documentation
  • Verify that chemicals are properly identified, within applicable expiration periods, and accompanied by current Safety Data Sheets
  • Obtain appropriate authorization before opening sealed, protected, or specialized packages, and follow applicable handling and preservation requirements
  • Coordinate safe and efficient loading, unloading, put-away, picking, packing, staging, and transportation activities
  • Perform or assist with material-handling and rigging activities within the limits of applicable training, certification, and authorization
  • Operate authorized material-handling equipment and vehicles when appropriately trained, certified, and licensed
  • Allocate materials to designated storage locations and maintain accurate binning, labeling, signage, identification, and segregation
  • Apply required material identification, color coding, and traceability markings in accordance with established procedures
  • Pick, verify, and stage materials against approved issue documentation before release or delivery
  • Ensure material deliveries include the required supporting documentation and obtain acknowledgment of receipt from designated recipients
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of receiving, inspection, storage, transfer, issuance, and inventory activities
  • Conduct physical inventory counts, reconcile identified differences, and support the proper handling of retained, surplus, or disposal materials
  • Plan storage requirements based on expected material receipts, available capacity, material characteristics, and handling requirements
  • Monitor material preservation requirements and take appropriate action to prevent damage, deterioration, loss, contamination, or unauthorized use
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to warehouse team members and reinforce safe, accurate, and efficient work practices
  • Prepare and submit accurate warehouse activity and inventory reports within established timelines
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas, shelves, pallet locations, staging areas, and workstation
  • Comply with company policies, materials management procedures, quality requirements, safety standards, and housekeeping expectations
     
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Senior High school diploma or completion of Technical or Vocational program in warehousing, logistics, materials management, construction, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, materials management, logistics, construction, or a related environment is required
  • Working knowledge of material receiving, inspection, storage, preservation, inventory control, issuance, and warehouse documentation is required
  • Familiarity with material specifications, identification requirements, and traceability practices is required
  • Ability to read, understand, and complete delivery documents, inventory records, checklists, and operational reports is required
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and materials management systems is required
  • Relevant training or certification is required before performing rigging activities or operating regulated material-handling equipment
  • A valid equipment or vehicle license is required when operating equipment subject to licensing requirements
  • Effective communication, organization, teamwork, and attention to detail are required
  • Ability to prioritize work, respond to changing operational requirements, and meet established timelines is required
  • Commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements
