As a Senior Visual Designer at Groundfloor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our cutting-edge investment platform. This platform uniquely enables everyday investors both non-accredited and accredited to participate directly in short-term, high-yield real estate investments. You will lead the charge in creating intuitive, consumer-grade designs that empower users to build and manage portfolios effortlessly.

Groundfloor is a remote-friendly, hyper-growth, wealthtech company based out of Atlanta. We value vulnerable high-quality/low-ego collaboration. If that sounds good to you, join us!
THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF:

  • User-Centric Mindset: Passion for understanding user needs and behaviors, with a commitment to delivering products that delight and exceed expectations
  • Flying at different altitudes: The ability to deliver both wireframes and high-quality, polished designs using Figma
  • Design and Aesthetic Insight: A keen eye for design, you live in the pixels with a deep appreciation for modern aesthetics, coupled with a practical understanding of how exceptional UX/UI drives business success in the fintech domain
  • Designing with Systems: You are a pro with Figma, and understand how to use and build design systems that can be agile but also scale over time.
  • Curiosity and Problem-Solving: You demonstrate a strong curiosity and mindset to find novel ways to discover and solve customer problems.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand and contribute to an established product vision and strategy, balancing short-term goals with long-term objectives

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Be part of a high performance design culture by achieving a high quality bar
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, product, and business teams to define problems; goals, research requirements, map user flows, prototype, and launch new products
  • Manage the execution of design projects and the development of the design team
  • Proactively offer recommendations and solutions by championing high quality design standards grounded in research and analysis
  • Create deliverables at various levels of fidelity from sketches to wireframes to final designs
  • Communicate progress and key updates with other team members on a regular basis
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of Groundfloor’s existing products and our users
  • Supporting early product definition by working closely with stakeholders and customers to participate in discovery sessions that uncover customer pain points and opportunities.
  • Work with product managers to understand customer needs and define opportunities through usability testing
Requirements

YOUR EXPERIENCE + A FEW NICE TO HAVES:

  • 3-5 years of product and visual design experience
  • Professional experience with financial tools, investment platforms, and/or real estate products preferred but not required
  • Success in raising the design bar on consumer-facing products, emphasizing a customer first approach
  • High degree of financial literacy, comfortable with basic concepts related to building and managing a personal portfolio of investments in public and private market securities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
