ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Senior Video Editor who can own the standard, not just meet it, on content that has to make Australian property investment land in 15 seconds and be measured on enquiries rather than reach.

Liviti operates in Australian residential property investment and wealth creation. The audience is people trying to build a portfolio: first-time investors, upgraders, SMSF buyers, and the mortgage brokers and accountants around them.

Our competitive set is loud and good at this. Freedom Property Investors, Search Party Property, InvestorKit, Henderson Advocacy, AllianceCorp and The Property Investors Alliance. You should already know their video output and have a view on where it is weak.

We have editors. What we do not have is someone whose job is to decide whether a cut is good enough and to say precisely why it is not. That is this role. You still cut, and you also own the bar.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Own the standard

  • Within your first 30 days, build what is missing: a video style guide, a grading look our editors apply consistently, a hook library drawn from our own best-performing posts, and a quality checklist an editor runs before submitting

  • Review every piece of video before it publishes. Give notes in writing, against the timeline, specific enough to act on without a call

  • Decide what ships. You have the authority to send work back

Cut the work that matters

  • Personally edit the pieces carrying the most commercial weight: campaign assets, founder and spokesperson pieces, suburb and market explainers

  • Grade properly. Property footage is shot in mixed light by different people on different cameras and has to look like one brand

  • Build for retention. Hook, pacing, captions, sound. This audience is being asked to consider a purchase worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, so the work has to look credible, not cheap

Lead the editors

  • Lead our remote team of editors. Lift their grading, masking, pacing and hook craft through review, example and training, not by quietly re-cutting their work

  • Own the pipeline from brief to delivery: intake, versioning, review rounds, approvals, asset storage and archive. We are choosing this stack now and you will help pick it

Work with the Sydney team

  • Work daily with our Social Media Manager in Sydney. She owns what the content is for, being the brief, the brand and the commercial goal. You own whether the execution is good enough

  • Work inside Australian general advice boundaries. No personal financial advice, disclaimers where required, and figures substantiated before publication. This constrains what a video can say and you need to be comfortable with that

RequirementsWHAT YOU NEED
  • 4+ years editing, including time leading, training or reviewing other editors. Be ready to describe how someone else's work changed because of you

  • Real colour grading, not presets. Show us log footage before and after

  • Masking and compositing: rotoscoping, keying, tracking, clean-up

  • Short-form craft: hooks, pacing, retention, captions, sound. You can explain why a specific opening works rather than just copying one

  • Commercial literacy. You read a brief and can say what the video is for and who it is aimed at. Performance or campaign work, not only personal projects

  • Strong written English. Most of your feedback will be read, not heard. This is a core requirement of the role

  • Availability on a Philippine day shift, 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm PHT. The market we write for moves during those hours, so this is a day-shift role by design rather than a night-shift one

  • Willingness to work inside compliance constraints rather than around them

NICE TO HAVE
  • Australian or international property, finance or real estate content experience

  • Motion graphics and After Effects depth, particularly data and figure animation

  • Experience with Frame.io, LucidLink, Shade.io, Resilio, Zoho Projects, ClickUp, Notion or Monday. Almost nobody in this market has the media-specific tools, so we will teach you ours. Tell us what you have actually used to move files and collect feedback

  • AI-assisted editing workflows

  • Experience filming as well as editing

WHAT TO SEND
  • A showreel or 2 to 3 pieces you personally cut, with the brief and the outcome for each

  • 1 grade you are proud of, ungraded footage beside it if you have it

  • A short written critique of 3 recent Liviti posts. What would you change and why. 200 words is plenty

  • 1 paragraph on a time you raised the standard of someone else's editing

REQUIREMENT DURING JOB INTERVIEW
  • Walk us through your own existing work and the decisions inside it, including 1 piece you would now cut differently and why

  • Give us live notes on a piece of our published video as if you were briefing the editor who made it

We do not ask candidates to produce unpaid sample edits. The assessment is built around work you already own.

Skills Required

  • At least 4 years of video editing experience, including leading, training, or reviewing other editors
  • Demonstrated ability to improve the work of other editors through leadership, feedback, or training
  • Real color grading experience, including log footage before-and-after examples
  • Masking and compositing experience, including rotoscoping, keying, tracking, and cleanup
  • Short-form video editing skills involving hooks, pacing, retention, captions, and sound
  • Ability to explain the strategic effectiveness of video openings and editing decisions
  • Commercial content experience, including interpreting briefs, audiences, performance goals, or campaigns
  • Strong written English for providing detailed written feedback
  • Availability for a Philippine day shift from 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm PHT
  • Willingness to work within financial advertising and general advice compliance constraints
  • Experience with Australian, international property, finance, or real estate content
  • Motion graphics and advanced After Effects experience, especially data and figure animation
  • Experience with Frame.io, LucidLink, Shade.io, Resilio, Zoho Projects, ClickUp, Notion, or Monday
  • Experience with AI-assisted editing workflows
  • Experience filming as well as editing
  • Showreel or two to three personally edited pieces with the brief and outcome for each
  • A grading example with ungraded footage alongside it where available
  • Written critique of three recent Liviti posts
  • Written example describing how the candidate raised another editor’s standard
