Overview
The Commercial Solutions group is responsible for designing, building, and operating the technology that powers Mastercard's next-generation B2B payment applications, including Virtual Card solutions.
We are looking for a Senior Vice President of Software Engineering to join our global team and drive the evolution of our Commercial Acceptance platform. This role focuses on technology transformation and cultivating a strong engineering team culture.

The SVP of Acceptance Engineering is a technology leader and strategic thinker who can zoom into low-level details where required and will set technical direction for the global team. A key aspect of this role will be working closely with product and enterprise technology leadership to execute a transformation roadmap.
The Role • Develop a detailed technology roadmap and execution plan in partnership with product and technology leadership.• Provide thought leadership to drive new product development and work across domains to drive Commercial flows.• Provide senior leadership to large, diverse engineering teams delivering change and development to the core platforms supporting the Commercial business• Lead globally distributed teams supporting Mastercard's Commercial Solutions engineering capability; set direction, tone, and strategy within the Product & Engineering framework• Drive a strong operational stability culture across the team, remaining laser focused on proactive measures to improve the current platforms, driving improvements in metrics such as incident reduction, reduced MTTM, timely resolution of defects, and reduction in toil.• Working with P&C and recruitment to strengthen processes to nurture and grow technology talent across multiple global locations.• Manage alignment across product, engineering and regional teams on strategy, priorities, and growth objectives.• Develop strong internal executive-level partnerships to ensure cross-functional alignment and execute on shared initiatives.• Lead by example to embed the Mastercard Way principles across the group.
All About You• Hands-on experience leading large-scale technology transformation initiatives.• Experience leading initiatives in the payments domain.• Deep technical knowledge of event-driven architecture patterns, asynchronous microservice design, software frameworks, and complex distributed systems.• Experience designing and deploying applications to public cloud infrastructure.• Deep knowledge of secure SDLC best practices, focusing on continuous testing and validation.• Proven history of building global engineering teams with a strong emphasis on talent development. • Demonstrates the ability to engage in multi-disciplinary collaboration to achieve collective outcomes.• Ability to communicate across various audiences to influence, inspire, and drive decision-making.• Highly collaborative leadership style leading to increased employee engagement.
