Senior Vice President of Operations – Pivotal Systems

Position Summary

The Senior Vice President of Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing all global operations across Pivotal Systems' manufacturing, supply chain, quality, procurement, logistics, customer support operations, and operational excellence initiatives. This executive will develop and execute operational strategies that support business growth, improve profitability, ensure product quality, and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's global operations strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Lead manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently achieved.
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee global supply chain management, including sourcing, procurement, supplier development, inventory optimization, and logistics.
  • Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Improve manufacturing scalability to support new product introductions and increased customer demand.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Development, Sales, Finance, and Customer Support to ensure seamless product launches and customer fulfillment.
  • Develop KPIs and operational dashboards to monitor manufacturing performance, productivity, quality, and cost.
  • Lead quality management systems and ensure compliance with ISO standards and semiconductor industry requirements.
  • Manage capital planning, manufacturing investments, and operational budgets.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Build and mentor high-performing operational leadership teams across multiple locations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related discipline; MBA preferred.
  • 15–20+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or semiconductor equipment industries.
  • Proven executive leadership experience overseeing global operations.
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, precision instrumentation, or capital equipment.
  • Experience managing global supply chains and contract manufacturing partners.
  • Demonstrated success implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence programs.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost reduction, and operational planning.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational change management skills.
  • Experience scaling manufacturing operations within a publicly traded or high-growth technology company is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience

  • Semiconductor process equipment or gas flow control systems.
  • Global manufacturing operations across North America and Asia.
  • ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Quality certifications including ISO 9001 and AS9100 (where applicable).
  • Experience supporting publicly traded companies and regulatory compliance.
