More about this role:
The Global SVP, Renewals will lead our renewals team, driving customer retention and revenue growth through strategic management of subscription renewals. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the cybersecurity/software landscape, exceptional customer relationship skills, and a proven track record in subscription-based business models. The SVP will collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, and technical teams to provide exceptional service, drive growth, and ensure long-term customer satisfaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive renewals strategy to maximize customer retention and revenue growth.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing renewals team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data analytics to identify trends, forecast renewals, and develop actionable insights to improve renewal rates.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, customer success, and product teams to align strategies and ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve renewal processes, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Broader Vision: Align strategic direction of the Global Renewals org with Customer Experience, Sales and the overall strategy of Darktrace.
- Forecasting: Accurately forecast projected revenue attainment and performance for the renewals team.
- Leadership: Develop the capabilities of the Global Renewals team in alignment with broader company direction and vision for the future.
- Development: Drive renewals program to become more automated and partner driven.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewals, sales, or customer success leadership roles, preferably within the cybersecurity/software industry.
- Leadership: Proven track record of managing large-scale renewals operations, with experience overseeing portfolios exceeding $200 million in annual renewals.
- Experience: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful renewals strategies.
- Experience: Transforming and optimizing renewals processes and teams, including adding automation to the renewals process.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer Focus: Passion for customer success, sales and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Experience: Implementing CRM and other sales and customer success tools.
- Experience: working with channel partners.
