We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President – Full Stack Engineering to join our Global Payments & Trade team. This role is located in Pune.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead the architecture, design, development, and maintenance of secure, high-quality full stack applications for enterprise-scale web platforms.
- Drive the development of software artifacts using Agile methodologies, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Design, implement, and support Java and cloud-based applications that are scalable, high-volume, and low-latency.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, define solution approaches, and align delivery with strategic objectives.
- Oversee and actively contribute to code reviews, engineering standards, and best practices to ensure maintainable and reliable software.
- Integrate software components into fully functional systems and support seamless deployment across environments.
- Apply security, privacy, and resilient design principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Provide leadership in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, ensuring system stability and business continuity.
- Promote modern engineering practices across SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD, testing automation, and release management.
- Contribute to the evolution of microservices-based and event-driven architectures, enabling flexibility and scalability across platforms.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of software development experience, with significant expertise in both front-end and back-end engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot for back-end development.
- Solid experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle/RDBMS, SQL, and familiarity with NoSQL or unstructured databases.
- Deep understanding of JVM internals, memory management, performance testing, and tuning.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful web services and API design.
- Experience designing and implementing microservices-based scalable architectures and event-driven messaging systems.
- Strong experience with SDLC and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Git, and related engineering tools.
- Proven ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production support issues.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering efforts in a complex enterprise environment.
