What you’ll contribute to
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Vehicle Product Planning Specialist, to join our Product Planning & Development division in a full-time permanent position.
The Product Planning & Development (PPD) Division is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all product-related activities to ensure new products are optimally designed to meet the evolving needs of customers.
The Senior Vehicle Product Planning Specialist plays a key role in developing mid- to long-term product planning strategies and vehicle safety solutions, with the goal of delivering highly desirable products that enhance Toyota and Dealer profitability while meeting sales and customer satisfaction targets over the medium to long term.
This role is based in Altona North with flexible work arrangements on offer.
How you’ll make an impact
Develop and implement mid-term product and vehicle safety planning processes and procedures in line with established policies, aiming to enhance product desirability and achieve customer satisfaction, sales, and profitability targets over the medium to long term.
Contribute to the creation of mid-term product planning recommendations and vehicle safety solutions by leveraging market and product research insights to maximise product desirability, customer satisfaction, sales, and profitability. Prepare detailed papers/reports to communicate findings and proposals to stakeholders.
Advise and support managers in formulating mid-term product planning and vehicle safety policies and standards, with the objective of enhancing product desirability, customer satisfaction, sales, and long-term profitability. Organise and lead forums to ensure clear communication of policies, strategies, progress, and issues to all stakeholders.
Analyse business improvement opportunities across the entire product planning unit/team to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging advanced and reliable business systems and tools.
Maintain reporting systems to deliver accurate and timely information that supports planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities across the business.

Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Strong experience in marketing or product planning, preferably within the automotive industry
Solid understanding of automotive systems and associated technical terminology highly desirable
Familiarity with sales and marketing processes and strategies
Proven experience in market research, cost planning, and financial analysis
