About the opportunity

We are on the lookout for a (Senior) VAT specialist to join the Tax Team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences. 

At Delivery Hero, our tax team reflects our company's diversity and global reach, bringing together talented professionals from seven different nationalities. We specialize in various areas of taxation, including tax compliance, transfer pricing, personal income tax, indirect tax, and international tax. • Help Delivery Hero grow by ensuring compliance and driving projects nationally and internationally.

• Provide VAT guidance on domestic and cross-border transactions, collaborating with internal stakeholders in Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain.

• Take ownership of German VAT returns, including EC Sales Lists and Intrastat declarations, while coordinating with advisors for smooth submission of international VAT returns.

• Handle the management of tax audits and litigation and ensure successful outcomes and risk mitigation.

• Drive the implementation of our Tax CMS, improving processes and enhancing compliance.

• Thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment where solving complex tax challenges supports global growth and innovation.

Qualifications

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree, ideally in Tax, Law, or Business with a specialization on VAT.

• You bring at least 2 years of VAT experience, ideally within Germany.

• You communicate fluently in English and German.

• You are proactive, pragmatic, and enjoy breaking down complex processes to make them more efficient.

• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a strong advantage.
