What you’ll be doingAs part of our newly established VAT Team, you’ll play a key role in a transformation initiative, helping Karo streamline and strengthen VAT compliance across Europe. This is a hands-on role with real opportunity to make an impact from day one.
- Perform VAT reporting across multiple European jurisdictions
- Manage VAT reconciliations, Intrastat reporting, and data accuracy
- Communicate with tax authorities to facilitate refunds, audits, and inquiries (in collaboration with advisors when required)
- Collaborate with global finance functions as well as local finance teams and external advisors
- Contribute to our VAT Transformation project, including the implementation of new VAT compliance software
- Managing VAT compliance software as well as overseeing and reconciling integrations between systems.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in a multi-country or international setup
- Knowledge of VAT reporting and compliance across EU
- Strong system proficiency including Excel (data handling, macros)
- A solid understanding of accounting fundamentals
- Experience working in ERP systems
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability, with excellent teamwork skills
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Any other European language is a plus.
- University degree in Finance, Tax, Accounting, or related fields
