Established in 2008 as part of Enel Green Power in Greece, Principia has evolved into an independent entity, owning 70 plants in operation with a total installed capacity of 726.32 MW. The company is actively expanding its footprint, with another 230 MW of projects under construction or ready to build, and an additional 5.6 GW under various stages of development.
Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and update of the Company’s business plan financial model, coordinating and collecting inputs from relevant departments
- Prepare management and shareholder reports, as well as ad hoc analyses and presentations
- Support the semi-annual update of lenders’ financial model with respect to Company’s existing loans, in line with bank requirements
- Perform financial valuations of the Company’s existing and pipeline assets, supporting all steps required for final presentation to the Investment Committee and/or shareholders for approval, evaluating and analyzing alternative financing structures for greenfield and refinancing projects
- Develop, review, and maintain financial models (3-statement models, scenario, and sensitivity analyses) to support valuation and decision making
- Assist in securing bank financing for new development and acquisition projects through project finance, financial modeling, and coordination with banks
Requirements
- Excellent academic records from a top-tier university with background in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration or related disciplines
- Postgraduate Degree and/or professional qualification such as CFA, ACCA, etc. would be an asset
- Three (3) to six (6) years of experience in one or more of the following areas: investment banking, corporate finance / valuations, corporate banking, private equity, financial planning and analysis positions
- Prior experience with one of the Big Four accounting firms would be considered a strong asset
- Advanced analytical skills with solid financial valuation and modelling track record (DCF models, etc.)
- Advanced MS Office user with solid Excel experience (spreadsheet connectivity, automation, etc.). Knowledge of VBA would be considered an advantage
- A good knowledge of applicable accounting and reporting standards (e.g. IFRS, Greek GAAP, Greek chart of accounts) and understanding of related risks in the applicable financial statement areas
- Excellent financial and business analytical skills
- Able to perform under pressure and deliver results in a demanding and fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and support colleagues across the company
- Self-motivated and driven individuals, with an entrepreneurial mindset, willing to invest in their own personal upskilling and professional development
- Strong verbal and writing skills in English and in Greek
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and financial acumen
