Purpose of the Position
The Partnerships & Alliances Quality Operations Lead EMEA provides subject‑matter leadership and operational oversight for quality and business risk management related to Partnerships and Alliances with Sales Intermediaries across assigned EMEA region.
The role drives global strategy, governance and capability to assure our Partners meet Pfizer's standards, comply with Health Authorities expectations and operate in a way that protect product quality, patient safety and corporate reputation.
The role focuses on coordination, and technical leadership, ensuring compliance with Pfizer Quality Standards and regulatory requirements, while supporting continuity of supply and quality performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Governance
  • Lead the Quality Strategy for quality oversight on Partnerships & Alliances (Sales Intermediaries) , aligned to Compliance & Quality Policies, GMP/GDP standards, and Pfizer's commercial and distribution models.
  • Contribute to the maintenance on long term partnership governance frameworks ensuring consistency, risk based oversight, and operational excellence across EMEA markets.
  • Establish global KPIs, dashboards, and performance monitoring systems, driving harmonization across markets and functions.
  • Represent Supply Operations Quality in strategic discussions with Commercial, Legal, Compliance, Logistics, Global Supply Chain, and Regulatory Affairs.

Stakeholders Management
  • Provide quality leadership through influence and by actively promoting quality awareness and reinforcing Pfizer Quality Standards and expectations across Sales Intermediaries and cross‑functional stakeholders (e.g. Business, Partnerships & Alliances, Procurement, Global Supply Chain).

Partnerships & Alliance Management
  • Serve as the point of contact between SOQ and strategic partners/distributors.
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of collaborative, trusted relationships with Partnerships & Alliances leaders to ensure quality culture, transparency, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure Partner's capabilities remain fit for purpose and fit for future, integrating digital tools, predictive analytics, and continuous improvement tools.

Operational Quality Oversight
  • Lead quality risk assessments related to Sales Intermediaries in selected regions, when necessary.
  • Lead the trend analysis and quality signal detection aspects to identify recurring or systemic issues across partners and regions by reviewing quality operational metrics.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging quality data, audit outcomes, and operational experience to strengthen Sales Intermediary quality operations.
  • Lead the investigation of product quality incidents within the span of responsibility, in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the negotiation and agreement on CAPAs, as applicable, to ensure compliance with Pfizer Quality Standards.
  • Contribute to the mapping of the Sales Intermediaries landscape across the EMEA region, with particular focus on Europe, and contribute to the rollout and embedding of quality operations on markets operating with Sales Intermediaries.
  • Ensure compliance with Partner's Quality Agreements and support their creation, review, and maintenance.

Notification and Escalation
  • Escalate and communicate significant product quality and compliance issues to SOQ Cluster and Regional Leads, based on output from operational activities.
  • Participate in AQRT meetings as a key stakeholder, providing expertise and regional/local quality insights.

Market, Business & Global Support
  • Act as a key point of contact for effective communication and collaboration with Pfizer internal stakeholders (PCO / Affiliates) to ensure alignment, continuous supply, and quality‑compliant product availability for selected markets of EMEA region.
  • Facilitate communication with local, global and regional quality functions regarding local GMP, GDP, and regulatory requirements to support appropriate documentation and lifecycle management of Pfizer products.
  • Support audit and inspection readiness for Sales Intermediaries and partnerships by ensuring quality processes, records, and metrics are inspection‑ready.

People management
  • Demonstrate people leadership by promoting collaboration, quality mindset, and continuous learning, supporting teams and partners involved in Sales Intermediaryquality activities.
  • Lead a team responsible for quality oversight of Partners.
  • Build a high performance culture with strong competencies in GDPs, risk management and quality operations in addition to strategic partnership management.

  • Contribute to the effective implementation and ongoing maintenance of Pfizer Corporate and Quality Policies and Procedures across markets operating through Sales Intermediaries in the EMEA region.
  • Enhance consistency, transparency, and regulatory compliance within Sales Intermediary quality operations across the EMEA region.

How You Will Achieve
  • The role provides functional and quality leadership for Sales Intermediary operations by proactively managing business and quality risks, supporting the understanding of the EMEA (especially European) Sales Intermediaries landscape, and contributing to the rollout and sustainability of quality operations through Sales Intermediaries.
  • Through strong cross‑functional collaboration, influence‑based people leadership, and active promotion of Pfizer Quality Standards, the role supports compliance, consistency, and a strong quality culture across EMEA region.
  • Lead the collection, review, and interpretation of quality metrics related to Sales Intermediaries, while coordinating CAPA follow‑up activities within approved systems and ensuring proper handling and oversight of quality events, including Deviations and Change Controls.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, biology, chemistry, or another relevant technical discipline.
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical devices, or food industry, preferably in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Technical Services, or any other relevant roles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
  • High proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Solid knowledge of GMPs and GDPs (essential).
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively.
  • Proven experience of working cross‑functionally across regions and cultures, preferably within EMEA and/or European/Middle East markets.
  • Demonstrated risk‑based thinking and ability to evaluate quality and compliance topics.
  • Self‑driven, structured, and able to operate effectively in a matrix organization with competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to shape, define, and structure the operational landscape within a completely new or evolving area.

Quality Assurance and Control

Skills Required
