* Enquizit, a CDW Company is seeking a Senior User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) Designer who is skilled in both UX/UI best practices and user research to understand end user needs and design a simple, clean, and intuitive user experience and user interface for an outdated web portal. We are looking for passionate and innovative designers, turning complex ideas into easily understood visuals and prototypes. The individual must be capable of working in a fast-paced Agile environment and working cooperatively with a multi-functional team.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Experience generating digital products from concepts to deployment, including but not limited to wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user workflows. • Works with user researchers, engineers, subject matter experts, and Product Managers to build and test. • Focused on understanding target users, championing the wants, needs, priorities and general behavior for how people will interact with the organization's product and services. • Work in cross-functional teams that include expertise in design, product strategy, technical architecture, software engineering, data science, and procurement. • Responsible for creating products that meet the objectives of users, agency partners, and the needs of the public, to improve ease of use and create the best user experience. • Iteratively solve end user problems through rigorous user testing.
* Education and/or Skill-Set Qualifications
* • Bachelor's degree in visual design, Human-Computer Interaction, user experience, visual arts, graphic design or related field from a four-year university or equivalent degree from college.
Required Qualifications
• 7 years of professional experience in UX research, wireframes, prototypes and workflows, along with a portfolio website URL demonstrating these skills (resume will not be reviewed unless a portfolio is attached or linked) • 3 years' experience working with the federal government and/or government consulting • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite • Strong conceptual thinker with knowledge of visual storytelling, typography, iconography, color theory, proportion and layout • In-depth knowledge of User Experience and User Interface Design principles and processes, Human Factors, Interaction Design guidelines, industry standards and trends, and the software development process; especially in the online (web) and mobile environment (tablet and phone). • Experience with user research, research activities such as user interviews, user surveys, fly-on-the-walls, service design and personas a plus • A Bias for Action. Many decisions and actions are reversible and do not need extensive study. * • Experience with human-centered design best practices a plus • Designing for healthcare or large enterprise systems a plus (please include in portfolio)
