About the team:
The Platform team at Grab leads the horizontal platform capabilities for all of our verticals, such as Safety, Identity, Trust, Support, Comms, and Marketing Platforms. We work holistically to build a scalable platform with a delightful experience for consumers, drivers, and merchants to make Grab the exceptional platform of choice.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams on a range of problem spaces across Grab’s platform experiences. We are looking for an experienced UX writer who has exceptional UX writing abilities and demonstrates user-centric thinking. Managing stakeholders well is a given for you. You’re able to plan, create, design, and govern the content for products you work on, from the big-picture strategy to the minute details that matter.
Job Description

Work on delivering the content for Grab’s platform experiences.

Coordinate with localization specialists to ensure the content is suitable for various markets and is localization-friendly.

Work collaboratively with Product Designers, Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, other UX Writers, and Language Specialists to deliver the best possible experience while retaining our brand voice.

Ensure content quality end-to-end by providing proactive critique and feedback.

Take initiative, anticipate problems, and enable your working teams to develop solutions.

Cultivate a team culture of openness and collaboration.

Where necessary, develop and implement best practices for other writers, designers, and engineers to strengthen collaboration and raise the quality of content.

Understand and apply user insights and metrics to the content, while guiding others to do the same.

Be a strong and visible advocate for the content design discipline throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- [MUST HAVE] A writing portfolio in English, showcasing your recent work or writing samples.
- Minimum 4 years working experience with a background in communications, design, social sciences, humanities, or any writing-related field
- Fluent with design and collaboration tools such as Figma and Google suite
- A keen interest in how language shapes the world and our experiences
- Outstanding UX thinking and writing skills (in English).
- Ability to make effective content decisions that align with both user needs and business objectives.
- Ability to support and communicate your decisions with solid, compelling rationales.
- Passion for and advocacy of a better quality of life for the people in Southeast Asia.
- Ability to work with a regional or international team of writers and/or designers to deliver a unified experience.
- Experience applying a universal brand voice with various tones for different audiences/segments.
- Ability to collaborate with localization teammates to deliver what’s best for the users in each country.
- A resilient growth mindset, open to taking feedback and bouncing back from failures.
- Strong time management, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills, as you’ll be handling multiple projects at the same time.
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
