Job Description:About the Role

Join our Customer Insights team at Dow Jones, where we drive the understanding of markets, customers, and products from research to testing. Reporting to the VP of Customer Insights, you will focus on Consumer and B2B units, including The Wall Street Journal, Factiva, MarketWatch, and Risk & Compliance. As a Quantitative UX Researcher, you'll be pivotal in enhancing digital experiences, using data & insights to inform priorities and ensuring continuous improvement.

You Will:

  • Lead in helping UX and Product partners understand user needs and behaviours.

  • Generate insights fueling brainstorming sessions and evaluating designs.

  • Investigate user behaviour using empirical research methods like logs analysis, survey research, and regression analysis.

  • Define and measure quantitative UX topics, goals, and metrics collaboratively.

  • Independently design, create, and analyze quantitive research studies.

  • Run surveys, experimental design tests, and statistical analyses.

  • Examine data and product designs, generating hypotheses for high-impact research.

  • Collaborate with data teams to synthesize insights supporting designers' or product managers' hypotheses.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of applied product research experience, proficient in statistics and experimental design.

  • Experience analyzing and presenting behavioral data from Adobe Analytics, UserZoom, and Optimal Workshop, along with survey design expertise.

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Qualtrics), data visualization tools (Tableau, BigQuery), and digital product design tools (Figma, Adobe CC, Miro).

  • Collaboration skills, comfort with professional collaboration tools (Jira, Miro, Confluence, Airtable), and understanding of user-centered design principles.
