The WEX UX team is responsible for designing customer experiences for many different types of users. We work in the health, travel, payments & fleet space. Our team collaborates across all different verticals to make sure we are creating the best experiences that can be used across different platforms. You will be expected to contribute to all aspects of design and execution, including pitching your ideas, designing products and features (workflow, visual design, interaction design, and prototyping), and partnering with research to test your ideas. You will work with development to implement the approved vision. What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with Product and UX Team Lead to translate concepts into user flows, visualizations and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences with an emphasis on both customer-facing applications, both desktop and mobile form factor.

  • Deliver wireframes and visualizations optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces with a focus device-agnostic design.

  • Make strategic design and user-experience recommendations related to both core and new functions and features. Identify workflow and experience problems, and suggest elegant solutions.

  • Ensure a user-centered design approach, rapid test and learn methodology. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

  • Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.

  • Partner with Product to translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs for both desktop and mobile experiences

  • Deliver device agnostic wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes optimized across platforms and screen sizes

    Make strategic UX recommendations for both core and net-new features; identify workflow gaps and propose elegant, scalable solutions

  • Apply a user-centered, test and learn approach, collaborating with research, product, and development to validate and refine ideas

    Actively engage in cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment across teams through clear communication and shared understanding

  • Ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions when needed, and champion innovative, user-driven ideas

Experience you’ll bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with studies relevant to digital experience creation, graduate program is a plus

  • Proven experience as a UX Designer or in a similar UX role delivering complex digital products

  • Expert level proficiency in Figma, Google Suite, and AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Bolt, Lovable, ChatGPT, Figma Make)

  • Strong understanding of mobile-first and responsive design, experience designing based on personas

  • Experience partnering with technology teams to identify reusable frameworks, shared services, or scalable patterns

  • Track record of delivering high quality releases that balance user experience, technical feasibility, and business outcomes

  • Ability to perform in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and to navigate ambiguity with confidence and clarity

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including presenting to leadership audiences

  • Continuous learner; actively keeps current with emerging UX methods, AI tools, and industry trends

  • Strong interpersonal influence skills, including partnering effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to drive improvements in tools, methods, or processes across teams

  • Appreciation for elegant, scalable solutions to complex UX and technical challenges

  • Passion, accountability, and a proactive mindset consistently raising the quality of the work

  • Willingness to challenge assumptions and continuously push toward better, user-centered outcomes
