The Role:

At Datacor, User Experience Designers help redefine software for an industry that has historically run on legacy systems. Our mission is to design intuitive, elegant solutions that reduce the complexity of high-stakes tasks performed by our users. In this role, you’ll craft thoughtful product experiences from concept to execution, working closely with product managers and engineers to bring ideas to life. Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and design product solutions that balance visionary thinking, craftsmanship, efficiency, and business potential.
• Meticulously craft new product features — from initial ideas and user experiences to polished, pixel-perfect designs.
• Lead projects end to end, collaborating with engineers to bring concepts from vision to deployment.
• Work hand-in-hand with product managers to understand customer and user needs, using this data and intuition to scope design work aligned with the product roadmap.
• Serve as a mentor to junior designers, providing guidance and feedback in support of their growth.
• Develop intuitive, practical design patterns and contribute to the thoughtful evolution of our design system as we scale.
• Expand product design operations, ensuring processes are efficient, collaborative, and aligned with team and product objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• You have a well-rounded skill set with 5+ years of experience, allowing you to run projects independently from start to finish.
• You strive to deeply understand customer needs, exploring and advocating for user experiences that effectively solve their problems.
• You excel at untangling ambiguous concepts, leveraging sharp intuition to design accessible mental models and flows that help users quickly realize the product's value.
• You craft clear, intuitive, and visually compelling human interfaces.
• You balance design excellence with business impact, considering practicality and speed without getting caught up in unnecessary complexity or overly abstract solutions.
• You have strong opinions, loosely held — actively listening to feedback, collaborating with stakeholders, and integrating diverse perspectives to make informed design decisions.
• You know how to tell impactful stories through both words and visuals, strategically driving alignment and shared understanding.
• You value cross-functional collaboration, working closely with product management, engineering, and design peers to create cohesive solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• You have designed and built great products with small teams in the past.
• You have worked with enterprise level business-to-business products within a product-led, SaaS environment.
• You have helped scale and socialize design systems within organizations, with a demonstrated ability to craft lean, implementable documentation.
• You bring unique strengths and fresh perspectives,contributing to a diverse team where skills and experiences complement one another.
• You’re excited about agentic AI and its potential to transform complex workflows,creating intuitive systems that adapt, learn, and take action on behalf of users.
• You’re a designer with an understanding of code and the ability to bridge the gap between design and development.
