Job Description
Proofpoint is looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our UX team in leading the design and user experience of our Archive and Compliance Platform. In this position, e, you will work with an experienced team of UX Designers, Developers, and Product Managers throughout all stages of an agile software development process to deliver valuable capabilities and insights for our customers and their employees.
The ideal candidate has experience bringing software products from concept to delivery and excels at taking full ownership of responsibilities and projects, driving them to completion.
You will collaborate, brainstorm, and rapidly iterate to develop user-centric solutions. You should have a strong sense of ownership, be proactive, and confidently present and defend design decisions. The ideal candidate understands the importance of iterating multiple times, has solid foundation of interaction design, data visualization, design systems and understands how products fit within broader ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads the design in a fast-paced environment, quickly ideating, iterating and refining solutions through wireframing, whiteboarding, and high-fidelity designs.
Design clear, insightful, and visually compelling data representations that enhance decision-making.
Navigate between high-level conceptual discussions and hands-on design wireframes, bringing ideas to life effectively.
Work closely with product to collect user feedback and validate designs and decisions.
Plans and defines the strategy for the direction of future iterations.
Confidently present work, accept constructive feedback, and challenge assumptions when needed.
Collaboration with the development team, product management, and larger Proofpoint UX team throughout the production cycle.
Ensure a cohesive, high-quality user experience by maintaining and contributing to our Design System
Requirements:
Human Factors or Design related degree, or equivalent industry experience.
5+ years or more of relevant work experience in complex SaaS/Cloud applications for Big Data. (Cybersecurity experience is a plus)
Solid understanding of Interaction Design and experience with data-visualization and analytical data presentation including information rich charts & graphs.
Expertise with Figma, components and prototyping is required
Experience running usability tests.
Present a portfolio showcasing end-to-end design projects, highlighting challenges, iterations, and measurable outcomes
