Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead the design of intuitive, effective, and beautiful experiences for our AI-driven products. As a key player in the Product team, you will champion the design thinking process, elevate user experiences, and deliver products that resonate with users across the energy and commodities sectors. 

Your expertise will contribute to making complex workflows simple, driving product adoption, and enabling our customers to achieve their goals efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Execution: Create and refine user interfaces, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs that improve interaction and accessibility.
• Maintain Design Consistency: Support the creation and management of Gravitate’s design system, ensuring visual and functional consistency across all platforms and products.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and other business units to gather requirements, understand objectives, and provide user journey mapping and rapid concepting.
• Champion the Design Thinking Process: Advocate for a user-centered approach across all stages of product development—from research and ideation to prototyping, testing, and final implementation.
• Lead and Mentor: Provide leadership, guidance, and support to other designers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices and align design efforts with business goals.
• User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gain insights and validate design decisions. Use qualitative and quantitative data to guide the design process.
• Ensure ADA Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards and inclusive design practices, making Gravitate products usable for all users.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior design role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of interaction and visual design.
• Proven experience with user journey mapping, wireframing, and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, InVision).
• Experience working within complex, AI-powered B2B SaaS environments is a plus.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into simple, intuitive, and elegant design solutions.
• Knowledge of ADA compliance and a commitment to inclusive design.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to lead workshops, guide brainstorming sessions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• A passion for problem-solving, a strong sense of ownership, and an eagerness to drive impactful solutions for users.

You’ll lead design efforts across multiple products, working closely with cross-functional teams to create seamless, user-centered experiences that make complex tasks simple and intuitive. Your work will directly impact how our customers use technology to drive efficiency and achieve their business goals.
