Job Description:
What You'll Do
Responsible for the functional, regression, and negative testing of participant transaction code and specifications against known and unknown activity within the network operations infrastructure. Additional test the system capability to ensure processed data meets expected results in both subsets and multiples of anticipated volumes to ensure necessary robustness and pressure tests again large populations of known transaction history. This includes projects, bugs, enhancements and hot fixes to customer implementation configurations and code changes. Individual will independently prepare test plans, manual and automation test cases, review testing checklists and problem solve production issues.
Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
How You'll Do It
- Leads the delivery of testing on major programs and must ensure that a comprehensive test plan is developed and maintained to track progress. Manages UAT testing utilizing the UAT's project management system (SharePoint) for maintaining/tracking project plan and status. Provides regular status reports to management on progress and issues, to drive continuous improvement of UAT processes to ensure a quality product is approved for release.
- Partners with Project Manager to review and understand the business requirements (BPS), functional specifications (HLD) and system design documents (DTD). Facilitates the effort to prioritize test cases focusing on critical path testing, provide instructions and guidance to streamline test execution. Facilitates meetings to ensure that the test cases are mapped to requirements.
- Assists development and functional component areas with problem resolution. Utilizes the UAT SharePoint website to record and monitor defects. Verifies that defects contain an appropriate level of information and monitor to resolution. Assists with maintaining test cases in Quality Center. Utilizes automated test scripts, if available. Requests new automated test scripts, as necessary.
- Defines and documents a test strategy/plan prior to the start of user acceptance testing. Identifies cross-component testing impacts. Establishes a schedule and goals for test execution; ensures that all affected components are engaged for test preparation activities.
- Ensures that test documentation, test execution activities and signoffs occur in conjunction with the project timelines. Completes necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure conformance to departmental/corporate standards and procedures. Actively participate with project teams and contribute to project meetings. Leads meetings associated with UAT. Notify project managers of issues and risks that my impact deliverables. Supports departmental goals and activities that contribute to the development of the team and the improvement of the UAT process.
- Provides cross functional oversight and coordination of user acceptance testing. Minimizes the risk to the business by assuring the accuracy of the software changes before they are migrated to production.
- Monitors test case preparation to ensure adequate and timely completion. Determines the number of batch updates needed for sufficient project testing and provide input to release coordinator for overall release testing. Supports the effort to provide test data in conjunction with the test preparation and automation teams.
- Understands the migration of new/revised code to the environments. Coordinates project test activities with the overall release migration timing. Coordinates exchange of test files with internal, external entities and ensure that all appropriate required security and compliance requirements have been approved.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $67,000.00 to $113,000.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
