Corvus is looking for a Senior Underwriter - Cyber and Tech E&O, to help us support our growing book of Cyber and Technology Errors and Omissions business. This underwriter will be focused on renewals for the West Coast region and will be responsible for nourishing and developing those existing relationships. This position will report to our Vice President of Underwriting.

As an Underwriter at Corvus you will leverage our technology platform in your day-to-day role to work more efficiently and ultimately, become more productive. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Underwriter who’s tired of the status quo and wants to work in a more dynamic and innovative insurance environment where they can really shine!

Requirements

  • Underwriting, endorsing/midterm changes and binding Cyber and Tech E&O business within Corvus’ underwriting appetite with a focus on renewals

  • Achieving premium production and retention goals while building a profitable book of Cyber and Tech E&O business

  • Handling a large volume of renewal business submissions and responding promptly to broker requests

  • Handling authority referrals, assisting with ongoing learning and development and participating in new hire onboarding/training

  • Acting as a representative of the company when/if attending external company functions, industry conferences, and other industry events

  • A successful candidate will be extremely comfortable with technology and have a strong desire to join a growing team of professionals that is committed to improving P&C commercial insurance for brokers and policyholders

  • Negotiating with brokers to close deals and following up on outstanding quotes

  • Working collaboratively in a team environment with underwriters, underwriting assistants, Territory Managers and the Corvus management team

  • Ensuring high quality service standards and compliance with all underwriting guidelines

What you’ll bring to the flock: 

  • 3+ years of Cyber/Technology E&O underwriting experience

  • Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to broker queries

  • Highly organized with superb attention to detail

  • The ability to handle larger more complex renewals

  • The ability to independently manage a book of business while also contributing to the development of others

  • Strong problem solving and decision making capabilities

  • Customer service-oriented with the ability to work efficiently while paying close attention to detail

  • Strong communication capability with good written skills and excellent verbal skills

  • Adhere to company policies and practices; If they don't work, suggest an alternative

Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and geography. Please note that the salary range that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only. The base salary range for this position is: $100,000 - $135,000, subject to final approval. This position is also eligible for performance-based incentives.
