Primary Purpose of Position:

Manage and oversee the company’s cash flow, corporate investing and borrowing, electronic payment initiation, banking relationships, account balance monitoring, review of bank statement reconciliations and credit line activities.


Essential Functions:

  • Oversee daily banking activities. Ensure banks provide high quality cash management service.
  • Manage the daily & weekly borrowing needs and investment of surplus cash for the REIT, Third Party, & Joint Venture accounts.
  • Oversee and initiate all electronic funds transfer activities ensuring Company policies are adhered to.
  • Manage, review, and submit for payment all wires and electronic payments processed through NexusPayables.
  • Perform the payment auto-match in JD Edwards for all wire and electronic payments processed through NexusPayables, daily.
  • Manage Commercial Paper Program, daily or on as needed basis.
  • Determine the daily cash needs of the Company.
  • Manage the cash forecasting process; develop processes, tools, and systems to improve effectiveness.
  • Monitor security deposit transfer and investment activity as needed.
  • Review, authorize and initiate the weekly inter-company reimbursement process.
  • Review bank reconciliations and adjustments monthly.
  • Establish new bank accounts and close bank accounts as needed.
  • Coordinate transfer activity with external sources for closings, loan payoffs, loan funding’s, dispositions, and acquisitions.
  • Maintain & distribute the Floating Loan Report monthly.
  • Review bank analyses and monitor bank fees monthly.
  • Produce cash analysis and present projection versus actual variances monthly.
  • Manage administration of bank web-enabled products provided by Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Bank of New York, JP Morgan, US Bank, TD Bank, Scotia Bank, Citibank, and other banks as applicable including coordination of training as needed.
  • Implement and review operational controls, policies, and procedures as it is related to treasury and Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Prepare annual SOC 1, Type II analysis for Bank of America’s CashPro platform.
  • Maintain and update the Cash Management Procedures Manual, as necessary.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Perform day-to-day requests and special projects as directed by the Senior Vice President, Finance & Planning.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required. 
  • A minimum of 4 to 6 years of cash and treasury management experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of cash accounting, cash flow reporting and cash management practices required.
  • Experience in reconciling bank statements required.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards accounting software desirable.
  • Familiarity with treasury systems preferred.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Ability to continually improve processes and prioritize functions. 
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detailed oriented and proven problem- solving skills.
  • Results oriented and desire to support new products & technologies.
  • Possess a positive attitude with working with others.

Physical Requirements:

  • Involves work of a general office nature usually performed sitting, such as answering the phone and operation of a computer.
  • Involves work of a general office nature usually performed standing, such as operation of a photocopier and a fax machine.
  • Involves movement between departments to facilitate workflow.

Internal and External Contacts:

  • Regularly interfaces internally with the Accounting Department, Lease Administration, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Legal Department, Tax Department
  • Regularly interfaces externally with members of the Real Estate Departments with our lead banks, outside counsel, & title companies.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Director, Treasury Management & Operations who will provide supervision and guidance, and coordinates, evaluates and monitors and work performance on a periodic basis.

Salary Range:
