You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.As a Senior Training & Education Specialist for the Cardiac Ablation Solutions Africa, Central & Eastern Europe (CAS ACEE) Region, you will execute an effective strategy for Health Care Professionals (HCP) and Internal Training & Education (T&E) within the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) Operational Unit (OU). The role focuses on promoting the Medtronic (MDT) brand and therapies, with particular emphasis on AFFERA™ and PulseSelect™. Key responsibilities include ensuring the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS technologies through external education, delivering internal education programs for CAS Technical Consultants, and providing expert-level technical support to new centers during AFFERA™ and PulseSelect™ launches, including direct case support and mapper certification. This flexible role reports to the Cath Lab Technologies Training & Education (T&E) Leader and requires willingness to travel up to 40% of the time (approximately 30% within the cluster and 10% internationally).
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver local and regional HCP and internal training programs across the ACEE region, aligned with CAS and corporate strategy, with focus on AFFERA™ and PulseSelect™
- Suppo+rt and conduct hands-on simulator and clinical trainings, including international programs at the Medtronic Innovation Center (MIC) and regional training centers
- Provide expert clinical and technical case support for AFFERA™ system launches, including mapper training, certification, and onsite support for new centers (within defined time allocation)
- Develop, review, and continuously improve training materials, curricula, and competency-based education processes in line with new product launches and business needs
- Assess regional training needs in collaboration with CAS Operational Units, recommending educational initiatives that support sales, marketing, and therapy adoption objectives
- Build strong partnerships with commercial teams, downstream marketing, proctors, faculty, and T&E teams across the EurAsia region to ensure aligned execution
- Maintain accurate training documentation and reporting, monitor market and competitive insights, and ensure timely communication of customer feedback and product-related events
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Medical Engineering, or related scientific field (master’s degree or MD preferred)
- Native local language or C1 proficiency, with fluent English (written and spoken) and confident presentation skills (min. B2 level)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) experience, including at least 1 year of independent EP mapping support
- Medical device industry experience (e.g., Technical Consultant or Sales Representative) preferred
- Strong knowledge of Cardiac EP at AHP level; IBHRE or relevant cardiology/arrhythmology certifications are an advantage
- Experience in training, education, or project management, including delivering presentations to diverse audiences
- Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural and multinational teams
