Job Summary: Provide technical leadership and become part of a unique team of traffic engineers that deploy traffic control systems throughout the world. Apply traffic operational knowledge, systems engineering processes and skills to systematically deploy traffic control systems in the United States and beyond, ensuring budgets, schedules and mostly importantly, customer satisfaction are achieved. Responsible for executing systems engineering approach for the design, implementation, and support of traffic systems, including advanced traffic management systems (ATMS), adaptive signal control technology (ASCT) systems and traffic controller software/hardware, Signal Performance Measures (SPM). Provide input and technical support services for sales and other internal customers. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, plan and execute the installation of traffic control systems, including advanced traffic management systems (ATMS) and adaptive signal control technologies (ASCT).
- Perform traffic operational analyses and implement plans to improve traffic operations.
- Provide technical oversight on a given project Develop and manage the system requirements.
- Direct a project team to define and document the system architecture and design Influence hardware and software designs to ensure compliance with requirements and system design.
- Perform hardware/software integration planning and oversee activities.
- Perform system level test planning and oversee test implementation.
- Interface with both internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to engineering, program management, quality, finance, business development, services, sub-contractors, end users and customers.
- Provide pre-sales technical support and product training to customers.
- Support engineering activities for proposal efforts.
- Monitor, mentor, and train less experienced systems engineers.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Four-year college degree in Civil Engineering (Traffic Emphasis), Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline, plus five years of related experience, or an applicable master’s degree with three years of related experience preferred.
- Applicant must have demonstrated experience in traffic operations analysis – actual field experience is strongly preferred as opposed to simulation experience.
- Experience in designing, analyzing, and installing traffic control systems - SnychroStudio experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of traffic control devices (Controllers, Cabinets, etc.) desired.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to use personal computer software such as spreadsheets and word processing programs and requirement management database tool.
- Mental ability to perform engineering problem solving and analytical tasks.
- Must be able to work under project deadlines and associated cost and schedule constraints.

Cubic Pay Range:
$100.000,00 - $125.000,00* + benefits.
*Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.
