Role Impact
In this role, you will drive growth for world-leading brands across the Nordics by owning local and trade marketing initiatives that connect innovative launches to in-store and online experiences. Align with our global team, turn insights into action, and watch your strategies reach the shelves of the region's biggest retailers.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Marketing with Retailers: Collaborate with retailer marketing teams to promote growth, create effective displays, initiate global social training, and build marketing proof through BD emails.
  • Brand Guardianship: Ensure all POS assets have marketing approval before launch.
  • Distributor Support: Provide tools and align distributors with brand plans for effective execution.
  • E-commerce Exposure: Keep toy listings accurate and detailed online; audit retailers and optimize online presence. Provide feedback on asset performance.
  • Media Opportunities Negotiation: Secure catalogue, window, online, and in-store placements. 6. Customize marketing assets for retailers in collaboration with sales and the China team.
  • License Partnerships: Collaborate cost-effectively with license partners to enhance brand impact.
  • Measure Success: Review strategies regularly, analyse trends, and provide insights to retailers. Conduct store visits when needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external teams, partnering with sales to pursue new opportunities and deepen partnerships.
  • Trade Marketing: Maintain ZURU’s voice in trade press and support showroom/trade show setups.
  • Manage Local Marketing Budget: Strategically plan and manage the local marketing budget with a focus on adapting quickly to product sales trends.
  • Bespoke Local Content support for vetting/ helping approve local influencers/ambassadors/seeding campaigns.
  • Thought Leadership: Foster an entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive approach.
  • Local marketing adhoc support when needed for wider business projects.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in consumer or brand marketing, ideally in Toy, Fashion, Consumer Products, or other fast-paced industries.
  • Passion for Toys, Collectibles, and relevant products preferred.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, pop culture, and the retail landscape in the Nordics and Benelux.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing techniques, including social media, digital, and influencer marketing.
  • Experience in Project Management, Trade Marketing, Retail Marketing, Local Marketing, and Digital Marketing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to create actionable plans and present insights to cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, G Suite; Figma experience a plus.
  • Highly organized, efficient, and able to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities and able to work effectively across teams, departments, and third parties.
  • Willingness to work across time zones and travel as required.
  • Excited to contribute to a fun, dynamic, and winning culture; role based in Copenhagen office.
  • Languages: Danish and English required; Finnish, Swedish, and Norwegian a strong plus.
