The Opportunity
The primary focus of this position is to facilitate global trade in compliance with import export regulations, and various other regulations that govern international trade, globally. The Trade Compliance Analyst must exhibit strong research and analytical skills. They will often be asked to interpret import and export regulations, conclude how they apply to Allegro’s products and update internal procedures accordingly. They must continually review current processes and procedures and think critically for process improvement opportunities.
What You Will Do
Perform compliance reviews for Import/Export shipments to ensure that correct classifications, Countries of Origin, values and authorizations are applied, and that shipments move in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations
Classify Allegro products in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations
Perform Restricted Party Screening on customers, vendors and partners as necessary
Represent Trade Compliance by providing advice and counsel to management and staff across business functions.
Deliver Trade Compliance training in accordance with the central team’s requirements
Execute EX/IM audit programs in accordance with the central team's requirements
Make classification and jurisdiction determinations and document them in accordance with Allegro procedures
Administer trade compliance policies and procedure
Generate performance metrics for export and import processes
Participate in various process improvement projects as required
Monitor regulatory and legislative changes, communicate changes to affected employees and update internal procedures accordingly
Manage recordkeeping in accordance with Allegro procedures
Support other Compliance Department activities as assigned.
What You Will Need
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related discipline and/or a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in international operations, import or exports, and/or customs brokerage
Strong analytical and database management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to interact effectively at all levels
Proven organizational and management skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
