Senior Test & Verification Manager

About the role:

This role is responsible for leading the Test and Verification Group, playing a major role as high power device testing and verification in the exploration and development of new, exciting and challenging IGBTs products.

What you will do:

• This role is primarily responsible for the test and datasheet-related activities required to introduce new products to the market.  Other aspects of this role involve developing, improving, and maintaining test methods, and providing test-related support to internal and external customers (e.g. assisting with customer enquiries and complaints, new product promotional literature, etc.)

• Responsible for the quality of the test program to meet zero ppm

• Responsible for the introduction and release of the testing at the production sites

• Proper archiving of test data and docs

• Initiate peer and gate reviews

• Drive improvements for test efficiency and product quality

• Responsible for the product test strategy for new products and cost-downs

• Responsible for the test risk assessment

• Responsible for providing NPR input (test costs &NRE) Ensuring the required test infrastructure is in place for products in line with technical and commercial requirements. Where necessary design and verify new test methods for the characterisation of products

• Drive and share the roadmap/vision on test strategy for new product development

• Accountable for executing tasks according to planning, and finding solutions to keep the planning on track

• Participate in Risk assessment (FMEA) and problem-solving teams (8D)

• Represent our group in global user/expert initiatives/forums

• Guide and steer peers in Asia

What you will need:

Hard Skills:

• Very good programming knowledge

• Experienced in creating test programs for Semiconductor Automatic Test Equipment

• Technical expert on test methods and design-for-test

• Basic PCB/circuit design know-how

• Have customer orientation and a quality mindset

• Analytical Skills and ability to apply pragmatic approaches

• Good communication skills in English and Mandarin

• Leadership skills and experience

• Target-driven shows initiative and has an entrepreneurial attitude

Soft Skills:

• A trained engineer with the ability to undertake directed engineering activities to internal customer satisfaction

• Good technical and practical engineering knowledge with strong skills necessary to carry out a range of engineering tasks

• Produces clear technical reports in support of engineering activities

• Actively working to increase and develop technical and functional competencies
