Responsibilities include:
- Provide full technical ownership and sustaining support for LFSH (Lead Frame Strip Handler), FFSH (Film Frame Strip Handler), and P&P (Pick & Place) handler platforms, ensuring optimal performance, reliability and production readiness.
- Lead equipment installation, setup, qualification and production release activities to ensure smooth ramp-up and stable manufacturing operations.
- Drive systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Utilization (OEU).
- Develop, implement and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) programs to maximize equipment uptime and extend machine lifecycle.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address recurring technical issues.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), machine conversion and process optimization activities to meet yield and throughput targets.
- Lead second-source evaluation, qualification and implementation projects to achieve cost savings and mitigate supply risk.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, Automation and Vendors to resolve technical challenges effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity enhancement, cost reduction and process stability.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor test manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with Strip Handler and P&P Handler equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, servo, pneumatic and motion control systems.
- Experience in handling high-mix and high-volume production environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cohu Jaguar (LFSH), TESEC 4170-IH / 5170-IH (FFSH) & M4841 LH4 Advantest / Cohu Matrix & JHT (P&P) handler technologies.
- Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) capability in LFSH, FFSH, and P&P technologies.
- Advanced fault diagnosis, Machine parameter optimization & Throughput improvement.
- Proven leadership in structured Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs, reducing breakdown frequency and improving MCBJ / MTBA / MTBF.
- Experience leading second-source evaluation and qualification projects as technical lead to achieve measurable cost savings and supply risk mitigation.
- Added Knowledge advantage in handler-tester interface integration and test cell optimization.
- Experience in OEU monitoring, data analysis, SPC, Spotfire and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment with strong sense of ownership and accountability.
