LastPass is looking for a Senior Test Engineering Manager
As a Senior Test Engineering Manager you will lead a team of Test Engineering Managers and individual Test Engineers. This team will be responsible for ensuring quality across a broad range of platforms and product areas. In addition to overseeing people management and career development for their team, Test Engineering Managers will be expected to drive quality discussions, lead test planning activities, and monitor the overall quality health of their areas. You will also be responsible for setting quality and test targets for their product areas and coaching other managers to achieve those goals.

Who will you work with?
In this role, you will collaborate with your team members and with individuals across the engineering organization, including technical project managers, product engineering managers, and architects. You will also engage with senior leadership to report on the state of quality within the organization.
As a Senior Test Engineering Manager you will:
- Lead and mentor a combination of Test Engineering Managers, individual contributors, and Release Engineers embedded in Agile teams.
- Set targets for quality and testing achievements on a quarterly basis.
- Establish processes and procedures for the test organization.
- Ensure the team possesses the right competencies to deliver on projects.
- Drive continuous test automation.
- Actively remove blockers to the team’s success.
- Work with team members to establish and achieve goals, while ensuring all team members receive continuous quality feedback.
- Manage delivery and expectations around time and quality, working with stakeholders to clearly communicate needs and expectations.
- Own Test Management and the testing approach for various cross-team projects and initiatives.
- Guide and manage the team through challenging topics and priority shifts.
- Understand customer pain points, advocate for delivering real customer value, and be the voice for quality.
- Provide metrics, KPIs, and data-driven risk assessments to senior leadership that demonstrate the maturity level of quality across teams and projects.
- Be actively engaged in the full software development release cycle, from requirements gathering to final release to production.
- Promote a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative culture within the Test organization.
- Work with stakeholders and team members to understand and validate compliance and security requirements.
What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?
Technical Leadership
- Establish standards for reporting, metrics, and markers of quality.
- Drive the assessment and management of risks with each release, facilitating clear decision-making on quality impacts to customers.
- Evaluate and provide guidance on tooling, testing methodologies, and best practices.
- Guide the team through the full test lifecycle, from requirements gathering to post-production release activities.
- Drive ongoing test automation to support continuous improvements in testing and development experiences.
Team Development
- Foster the career growth of team members.
- Advocate for the team, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to help team members thrive.
- Coach other managers in growing their roles and experience.
Structure and Organization
- Bring structure to the team by defining clear roles, responsibilities, and processes.
- Align tasks and projects with business objectives, and prioritize work within the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes.
