Senior Test Engineer (ETL/Datawarehouse Testing)

About the role:

Gartner is looking for a strong ETL Datawarehouse Sr Test Engineer with a background in Enterprise Datawarehouse ETL and BI Report Quality validation expertise.

What you will do:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for Enterprise Datawarehouse solutions.

• Conduct thorough testing of ETL and BI Reports to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and business rules. Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in data management processes.

• Perform root cause analysis on data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.

• Validate data integration and data migration processes to ensure seamless data flow across systems.

• Develop test scripts for data testing in Enterprise Datawarehouse for data accuracy, data completeness & data integrity.

Who you are:

• 4-6 years of experience in Information Technology with specialization in Dawarehouse/ETL Quality Assurance.

• 4+ years of hands-on proficiency in SQL and data querying tools for comparing and testing data.

• Strong understanding of Datawarehouse concepts, including Extract Transform Load(ETL), Business Intelligence Reports, Dimension and Fact tables.

• Proven experience in quality assurance, specifically in Enterprise Datawarehouse environments.

• Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance, and data quality standards.

• Experience with ETL tools and Query platforms such as Informatica, Azure Data Factory, SSMS, TOAD

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required

• Excellent communication skills.

• Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.
