Job Summary:
As part of our Asia Engineering Hub, we are seeking for experienced Senior Test Development Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive test solutions for Semtech’s different product lines such as Signal Integrity Products, RF/LoRa Products and Capacitive Sensing PerSe Products. You will collaborate closely with design, product and characterization teams to ensure product performance, quality, and reliability meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting NPI development from small volume sample up to mass production release
- Develop and optimize Automated Test Equipment (ATE) programs and hardware for production and characterization testing – mostly in Advantest V93000 platform
- Analyze electrical specifications from device datasheets to create detailed ATE test plans
- Create probe and final test schematics, design/optimize test loadboards, create comprehensive test plans and optimize test methodologies
- Collect and analyze device performance data, establish test limits thru temperature characterization, correlating test parameters against system-level performance, and perform production GR&R
- Manage production test programs at manufacturing sites, supporting new product qualification and production transfers
- Identify and drive test time and test cost reductions, and well as yield improvement projects
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5+ years of experience in test engineering within the semiconductor industry.
- Proficiency in developing test programs and hardware for automated test equipment (ATE)
- Strong understanding of signal integrity principles and high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuit testing
- Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation to drive yield improvements
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with PCB development software tools
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming
- Expertise in Advantest V93000 or Teradyne UltraFlex tester platform an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural cross-functional team environment
- Knowledge of DFT, DFM and 6-sigma principles
- Strong statistical test background such as PAT, SBL, SYL
