Senior Territory Account Manager – Southern Iberia

As Senior Territory Account Manager here at Illumina in Southern Iberia, you will drive growth and strengthen Illumina’s presence across leading biotechnology, pharmaceutical, academic, and government research organisations. With a focus on key hubs such as Seville, Málaga, and Granada, you will work closely with scientific stakeholders to understand their research priorities, deliver strategic solutions, and promote Illumina technologies that accelerate discovery.

Why YouYou bring strong experience in scientific sales, account management, or related commercial roles, ideally within the life sciences, biotech, or instrumentation sectors. You are energised by solving customers’ scientific challenges and can navigate complex research environments, from academic labs to pharmaceutical R&D teams. Your communication style adapts naturally to different audiences, enabling you to build rapport, influence decisions, and drive the adoption of advanced technologies.
You are comfortable working independently across a broad territory and use structured judgment to prioritise opportunities, balancing strategic planning with hands‑on customer engagement. A bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline is typically required; an MSc, PhD, or equivalent experience would also support success in this role. Fluency in Spanish and strong English proficiency are essential.

- Influence customer acceptance of Illumina technologies through strong scientific and product knowledge
- Lead sales activities across the assigned geographic territory
- Participate in pricing discussions to align with business goals
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a high‑quality customer experience
