Senior Technology Specialist, DMS

Company :

Lead and manage ERP and Dealer management systems for Malaysia in the following areas:

• Provide applications and services to improve operational processes.
• Co-ordinate users’ requirements and ensure they are adequately satisfied and users agreement on priorities of enhancement.
• Responsible for effective user support and providing end-user computing solutions
• Ensure actions are planned and carried out to meet performance objectives in resolving end-user problems
• Strategize and plan the IT manpower and resources to achieve operation business goals and objectives.
• Managing IT projects to ensure projects are implemented within the timeline and ensure proper change management is in place to minimize business impact.
• Oversee the configuration, customisation, and utilisation of the Dealer Management System (DMS) to align with business needs and elevate dealership operations.
• Conducted thorough system testing, troubleshot issues, and delivered continual support for DMS functionalities.
• Collaborate with IT and technical teams to ensure smooth integration and ongoing maintenance of the DMS with other pertinent systems or applications.
• Provide training for dealership personnel and generate documentation to facilitate efficient utilisation of the Dealer Management System.
• Evaluate the DMS performance, pinpoint areas for improvement, and recommend enhancements to streamline dealership processes.
• Interact with key stakeholders and ensure effective stakeholder management. 
• Improve operational efficiency and deliver new business capability.
• Coordinate users’ requirements and ensure they are adequately satisfied and to get user agreement on priorities of enhancement.
• Ensure actions are planned and carried out to meet performance objectives in resolving end-user problems.
• End-to-end ownership of incidents, ensuring accurate and timely updates.

Education / Professional Qualification

The Job

Bachelor’s degree in the following:

o   Computer Science,

o   Computer Engineering

o   Business Administration

o   Accounting

Or in other related disciplines.

• Strong management skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues.
• Possesses considerable knowledge, experience and leadership experience in functional & business processes area.
• Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
• Extensive experience with Sime Darby core software applications
• Good Project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.
• Knowledge of database design and file management techniques.
