The Senior Technical Product Manager for Wolters Kluwer’s InnovateHub is a key member of our innovation team, responsible for shaping, validating, and driving next-generation solutions from concept to early-stage delivery. Reporting to the Director of InnovateHub, this role helps operationalize innovation strategy by leading product discovery, iterative development, and cross-functional alignment across the organization.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced product leader with strong technical fluency and entrepreneurial drive to work on high-impact initiatives that unlock new value for tax, accounting, and audit professionals. You will play a hands-on role in identifying whitespace opportunities, defining MVPs, and driving early-stage validation, while championing customer-centric design and lean innovation practices.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
Product Discovery & Innovation Execution
- Collaborate with the Director of InnovateHub to translate strategic opportunities into executable product experiments and pilots to commercially viable products that achieve product market fit within segments of market
- Conduct discovery sprints with customers and stakeholders to identify unmet needs, test hypotheses, and shape new product concepts.
- Own the definition of MVP scope (Minimum Valuable product), feature sets, and success metrics for pilot initiatives, through to the initial launch
Lean Development & Delivery
- Lead cross-functional product pods through lean build-measure-learn cycles to quickly validate desirability, feasibility, and viability.
- Develop and maintain epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements with clarity and precision.
- Work closely with engineering, design, and platform teams to scope, prioritize, and deliver early-stage functionality.
Customer-Centric Design
- Partner with the Digital Experience Group (Dxg) and UX teams to ensure product ideas are grounded in real user needs and optimized for intuitive experiences.
- Support usability testing, feedback loops, and iterative refinements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate across Development, Legal, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Service Excellence to align dependencies and ensure readiness for concept testing and scaling.
- Partner with GTM teams to prepare new offerings for transition post general availability launch (i.e. InnovateHub responsible for initial launch, and future development will be transitioned to ongoing product teams post launch)
Market & Technology Awareness
- Stay current with emerging technologies (AI, automation, agentic experiences), competitive activity, and accounting firm workflows to identify differentiators and integration opportunities.
- Bring technical credibility to conversations with engineering and external partners.
Metrics & Reporting
- Define and track key product innovation metrics (e.g., time-to-validation, prototype engagement, pilot usage, adoption readiness, Sales & revenue targets).
- Regularly communicate initiative status, learnings, and pivots to the Director and other stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 5–7+ years of experience in software product management, ideally in B2B or SaaS environments.
- Three or more years with Agile Scrum methodologies as a product owner/technical product manager preferred
- Three or more years in one of these areas preferred but not required– 1) software solution development for Tax and accounting industry, 2) professional experience in CPA firm
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and working knowledge of development tools and IDE workflows.
- Experience engaging directly with customers and translating their needs into product innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and prioritize competing demands effectively.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; experience working with KPIs and using data to drive product decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
- Bonus: Experience with automation, AI technologies, or self-service capabilities in a product context.
