Job Description:
As a Senior Technology Consultant supporting the Onboard Wi‑Fi Technology Team, you'll help shape and advance strategic technology initiatives that enhance the inflight connectivity experience and support Southwest Airlines' business goals. You'll partner with Customers across Technology, Customer Experience, Innovation, and Tech Ops to identify opportunities, evaluate business value, recommend priorities, and define solutions that deliver meaningful impact. Serving as a trusted advisor to Leadership, you'll translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for audiences ranging from engineers to senior executives. This role leverages expertise in networking, satellite connectivity, cloud technologies, data platforms, and analytics to support initiatives such as onboard Wi‑Fi modernization while driving informed decision-making and continuous innovation.
Additional details
This role allows for voluntary remote work for the majority of your working time within the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with occasional on-site presence at our Corporate Campus for training, meetings, and business needs. This role may also require limited travel for business purposes.

Responsibilities
Identify new ways to create value through business process improvements and technology enhancements proactively
Translate Customer needs through deep understanding of Customer priorities, value drivers, and challenges
Drive solutions within a Team/group without being a subject matter expert
Complete assigned and project tasks with minimal direction
Partner with Senior Leadership across the Company to lead various activities required in the ongoing development and delivery of strategic initiatives
Analyze impact of problems, facilitate resolutions, and escalate to Leadership as needed
Anticipate large-scale, complex challenges within domain; including risk, dependencies, timelines, scope, etc.
Identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services, including Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of Customer satisfaction

Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information systems or similar fields of study or equivalent advanced level experience
Experience
Required: Expert-level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge in:
solving complex problems and driving multiple stakeholders towards implementable solutions
leading programs that can span multiple work groups and/or departments
Preferred: Knowledge of AWS services, including S3, Redshift, APIs, and data lake architectures, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and translate findings into actionable recommendations
Preferred: Experience in satellite networking using LEO and GEO constellations

Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job

Pay & Benefits
Competitive market salary from $138,800.00 per year to $154,200.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
