Roles and Responsibilities
Provide subject matter expertise and leadership to a project support team
Provide technical writing support to, and updates for, new and existing assigned documentation
Collaborate with subject matter experts in the creation and implementation of documentation
Develop documents that are organized, succinct, and compliant to standards and requirements
Edit and manage technical documentation in support of business products creating documentation that is complete and accurate
Manage review and approval of documents including comment resolution
Prioritize, organize, and complete multiple activities, meeting established deadlines; relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish activities
Ensure project deliverables are executed on time with high quality
Work to project schedules and provide status updates
Collect, analyze, and compile information from various resources, including approved AI, for use in creation or editing of procedures, reports, and documents
Become familiar with applicable products, services, concepts, practices, requirements, and procedures
Create, manage, and maintain sites, libraries, repositories, workflows and publications
Perform requirements traceability and publishing support
Support related activities in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and the Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) systems
Perform training, coaching and development to other team members
Facilitate team meetings and knowledge sharing sessions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Education, Technical Communication, Engineering, or related field preferred
10 years of technical writing experience, or equivalent experience in developing instructional, technical or procedural content
Eligibility Requirements
The preferred work location for this role is at the GVH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude. Energetic problem-solver capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities. Must be able to work with little supervision.
Experience leading others and assignment of work activities
Experience with Requirements Management and Product Lifecycle Management systems, and their processes related to technical writing
Experience as a technical writer in the nuclear industry, national labs, or governmental agencies in a high-tech field.
Experience with GE documentation system, practices, and requirements.
Experience with documentation management protocols in a high-tech, regulated environment.
Familiarity with US NRC Regulatory Guides (RG).
Familiarity with system and software standards (ASME, IEEE, IEC, etc.).
Familiarity with Documentum, Aconex, Enovia, Teamcenter, ELM and VNDLY
Demonstrated proficiency in using computer applications.
Experience in word processing, presentation packages, databases, and spreadsheet packages.
Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; familiarity with Adobe software to be able to create/modify PDF files

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
