About the team and role
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join the Product Content team. This team is a mighty group of Technical Writers and UX Writers who strive to deliver accurate, concise, and well-written technical documentation, online help, and in-app text that helps our users to perform their tasks.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about AI, has experience documenting AI products, and is eager to work on next-gen products to innovate and solve challenging problems. If data, machine learning concepts, NLP, and chatbots sound exciting and you have experience explaining technical concepts in plain language, then keep reading to learn more about this role.
Essential requirements

At least 5 years of proven experience as a technical writer for an agile software company. You have outstanding writing skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to research technical concepts, analyze specifications, and communicate them clearly and precisely in plain language.

You are passionate about AI and have documented AI-enabled software products for developers and other technical audience.

Experience writing technical documentation for complex enterprise software products in an agile environment. You may have written technical documentation for cloud apps, iPaas, SaaS, AI, ML, IoT, etc.

You understand technical concepts like APIs, SDKs, and web applications, and you collaborate well with engineering teams to review epics and code samples, ask questions, understand developer tasks, and explain them in plain language.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate respectfully with Engineering, Product Management, and UX to improve user experience and write content.

You've worked in a docs-as-code approach and are comfortable with Markdown and Git.
What you'll do at Boomi

Work closely with fast-paced agile software engineering teams, data scientists, technical writers, designers, and product managers to plan, write, and maintain content for a highly technical product.

Write clearly, concisely, and engagingly to develop technical documentation, API documentation, landing pages, reference materials, and training for data sets that include question-answers, chatbots, scenarios, and user interactions.

Work closely with scrum teams and engineers to understand complex concepts, gather information, and translate technical information into user-friendly content.

Collaborate cross functionally and with other writers to address customer feedback and work on strategic initiatives.

Contribute to tools and processes that make documentation more efficient, collaborative, and scalable.

Adapt to a fast-paced, multi-team agile environment with a willingness to manage competing priorities and use agile methods to keep in sync with team priorities and roadmap.
