We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer to support the documentation kit of a worldwide cutting-edge technological solution - Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud and Local. The Documentation and Localization team at Acronis consists of several outstanding professionals who live the values of sharing knowledge and never giving up. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Writing online help and user/administrator guides in English, from scratch, in parallel with the software development process
- Creating other documentation for enterprise-level software products (best practice guides, hardware configuration guides)
- Reviewing GUI text strings as part of the software development cycle
- Mentoring junior team members to help them excel their writing skills
- Contribute to the Company standards for technical documentation
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor degree preferably in engineering, IT, or linguistics
- Experience in technical writing 3+ years
- English at a level no less than "Upper-Intermediate"
- An eye for detail and consistency
- Good understanding of the software development life cycle, from concept to final product release, and the role of a technical writer in this process
- Experience with Jira or another issue tracking system
- Experience with source control systems
- Experience with MadCap Flare is considered a strong plus
- Knowledge in information design and structured authoring is considered a plus
- Preferred qualification: Familiarity with multiple operating systems, programming concepts, virtualization platforms, and other related technologies is considered a plus: Linux, MS SQL, MS Exchange, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, RHEV, Citrix), Active Directory
