The PositionThe Senior Technical Solution Owner – Cornerstone Application & Integration serves as the ultimate technical authority for our Cornerstone platform as a core enterprise solution supporting learning, talent, and people development processes. You are the “subject matter expert”, responsible for technical integrity, exploiting Cornerstones functionalities maximising the platform's business value while ensuring technical stability. This role provides clear ownership of the technical realization and integration ecosystem, leading data migration initiatives, with a strong outcome oriented mindset and ability to translate requirements into acceptance criteria and ensure successful solution delivery.
In this role, you serve as a high-level sparring partner to other seniors IT stakeholders, contributing with your deep-dive Cornerstone expertise. You bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that every integration - whether upstream from Core HR or to downstream systems - is seamless, scalable, and robust. Your span of control ranges from license management, platform performance and stability, compliance and audit readiness, release feature prioritization, to driving medium- to large-scale initiatives that enhance the value, adoption, and impact of the platform.
As a senior leader in this space, you shape the technical evolution of the Cornerstone platform based on business priorities and the platform’s technical dept, guide decision-making delivering respective change impact assessments, and ensure that platform capabilities are translated into meaningful business outcomes. You work closely with business stakeholders, product and technical teams, architects, and external partners to ensure the solution is scalable, user-centered, and fit for purpose. With your in depth Cornerstone expertise and your learning process acumen, you understand the context of changes and how they relate to business needs to proactively shape the learning landscape.
This role goes beyond operational delivery. It requires a strong understanding of stakeholder ecosystems, enterprise platforms, and business transformation, with a particular focus on ensuring that Cornerstone capabilities are aligned to strategic priorities, integrated into end-to-end people processes, and optimized to deliver measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
Audit & Compliance
Validation & Audits: Ensure fully documented and validated system including change control and ensure compliant change administration on GXP application. Orchestrate audits and periodic reviews to ensure compliance resolving respective findings.
Security & Access Control: Oversee tenant access, and perform Cornerstone account reviews, oversee and control access provisioning. Accountable for access provisioning, training assignment and training completion of workforce operating and using Cornerstone platform.
Documentation: Lead delivery and regular update of Data Migration Plans, Operational Support Plans and Information Risk Assessment and Mitigation System documents such as security risk assessments, data processing agreements.
Technical Solution Ownership
Functional Design & Innovation: Evaluate Cornerstone features, platform developments and integration requests to provide expert recommendations on how to simplify, harmonize, and innovate people-processes through technical enablement, understanding overall business change impact. Ensure the solution design supports end-to-end business processes rather than isolated feature requests and define success measures and evaluate whether implemented capabilities are delivering intended value.
Technical Governance & Platform Quality: Use established governance for enhancement decisions, and solution standards. Define acceptance criteria and perform final sign-offs on work orders to ensure outcomes are tied to business value and meet our customer needs. Own technical integrity incl. ensuring performance observability and tenant strategy, while ensuring to keep the Cornerstone vendor accountable for platform related improvements.
Strategic Sparring & Requirements Engineering: Act as a Cornerstone platform expert to different stakeholders, conducting impact assessments and translating complex business requirements into scalable, sustainable designs.
Platform Health & Optimization: Oversee the operational health of the solution, including compliance, license optimization, and user adoption monitoring to ensure the platform delivers measurable value. Manage the application and service setup in any application registry to ensure smooth operation of the product.
Stakeholder & Vendor Orchestration: Lead technical discussions with IT, external vendors, HR partners and business to align on implementation priorities, navigating trade-offs and guide decision-making to ensure the solution delivers sustainable business value, and drive platform evolution with the vendor.

You are a business-oriented solution leader with strong experience in learning enterprise platforms, HR technology ecosystems, and data migrations ideally including Cornerstone. You are able to connect business needs, user expectations, and platform capabilities into clear and compelling solutions, articulating these into clear requirements and approving respective outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience
Strong experience with Cornerstone or other cloud-based learning management solutions and Integration Management
Strong experience in solution / product ownership, or platform management roles incl. ITIL framework expertise.
