Audubon is currently seeking a Senior Technical Safety Associate to join our team in our Houston, TX Office.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for the quality of Technical Safety deliverables
- Support and supervise task delegation to team, as required
- Participatein audits as required
- Ensure that design meets all Technical Safety requirements
- Participate in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when required and experience of coordinating HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Classification studies and other workshops
- Manage and review 3rd party studies such as QRA, FERA, EERA etc., as required
- Fire Protection and Engineering Design experience including preparation of Fire Water PID's, Performance of Fire Water demand calculations, Performance of Fire Water Hydraulic modelling using PIPENET or similar
- Performance of Passive Fire Protection studies and drawings
- Preparation of Fire and Gas Detection layouts, Safety Equipment layouts, Safety Signage etc.
- Aid in Manhours estimation and scheduling for project proposals
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
- Bachelor’s Degree from ABET Accredited Institution preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or Fire Protection & Safety Engineering preferred.
- Professional Engineering Certification Preferred.
- 10+ years industry experience preferred,
- Working knowledge of codes (API, etc.) and Process Safety Regulations preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing, including public speaking to groups of up to 30 professionals.
- Ability to lead teams to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
- Ability to lead teams to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work related problems.
- Ability to provide instruction and clarification to team members.
