In the Recruiter role, you will be responsible, along with your peers, for building and growing the very first site location for Okta in India! The right candidate will be the ground floor owner and builder of both the Recruiting team and business across all functions. Reporting back to the head of global technology recruiting (eventually to a local site leader), this person will have vast ownership and say in how Okta positions itself in the market for tech talent among other verticals and for creating a world-class internal culture that the best of the best want to be a part of. In this unique, first-of-its-kind role, you will be expected to balance work across global geographies while acting as the market expert and owner of our newest growth center. Join us!
AREAS OF FOCUS
- Hire India business needs in and around the Bengaluru area
- Align key talent initiatives and resources with Okta's core business objectives
- Organizational design: building an effective organization designed to deliver at scale in a hyper-growth company
- Strategic Account Management - partner with key product unit leaders and managers to ensure hiring the right talent at the right time.
- Partnership & Influence - Work closely with Finance & HR leaders to deliver short & long-term talent solutions that drive growth & efficiency
- Operational Excellence – drive efficiencies that scale; metrics, processes, technology
- Build and align operating rhythms that ensure the team hits established KPIs
- Seen as a Brand Ambassador and steward of talent for Okta
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6-8 years in a technical recruiting role with experience recruiting across Engineering, Product, and IT profiles in the India market
- Demonstrated experience building and driving internal and external talent branding (referral drives, tech talks, webinars, LinkedIn campaigns, blog posts, hiring events, etc) is required
- Experienced in Diversity hiring and other programs that help to attract top talent
- Demonstrated building growing business teams in the India geographical
- market
- Direct partnership with internal business leadership up to VP and partners (HR, Finance, Ops, compensation, benefits teams) building strategy and hiring execution plans
- Direct experience working across global locations and time zones and influencing without ownership in a dotted-line organizational structure
- Direct experience building and sharing retroactive and forward-looking analytics with internal stakeholders on the talent market and internal success metrics in Recruiting (hires, run rates, acceptance rates, talent availability, and more)
- Demonstrated ability to balance short & long; you understand the need to meet short-term goals while planning for future growth and scale
Preferred:
- Direct ownership, having built and scaled a business center of excellence site in the India market from the ground up
- Program/Project management experience within the talent acquisition space
- Employee relations or HRBP experience
- Intellectually Curious, you never stop looking for ways to make the business, yourself, or your team better at what we do, hire great talent
