As a Senior Technical Project Manager at Razor Labs, you will take a leadership role in overseeing complex technological projects within the mining sector. This is a global position that encompasses project execution across both Africa and East Asia, demanding a high frequency of business travel. Due to the nature of the projects and stakeholder interactions, this role requires conducting business in Russian; therefore, proficiency in both written and spoken Russian is essential.
This role requires close collaboration with clients and internal teams to ensure project success from conception to delivery, with full accountability for execution. You will manage multiple projects concurrently, leading the deployment of sensor-based technology solutions, vendor management, and integration efforts specifically tailored to Heavy Mobile Equipment and Mobile Fleets. A strategic problem solver, you will be expected to make key decisions, drive results in challenging environments, and report effectively to both clients and internal stakeholders. This position demands a high level of independence, technical expertise, and the ability to execute on-site projects efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Lead stakeholder engagement to ensure clear and comprehensive project requirements and expectations.
- Develop and oversee detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Manage technical project execution on-site, overseeing the deployment of sensor technologies and integrations specifically for Mobile Fleets (HME).
- Lead the coordination of cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and integrators to ensure successful implementation of projects.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing timely updates and addressing any project concerns with a solution-oriented approach.
- Monitor site progress, manage risks, and provide hands-on leadership to address challenges, ensuring all project deliverables are met.
- Oversee and ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports and updates, including risk management strategies, timelines, and milestones.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing processes and ensuring the highest level of service and technical quality.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in remote or challenging environments, leading efforts to deploy technology solutions with a flexible and adaptable mindset.
- Fluency in both Russian and English (written and spoken) – Mandatory.
- At least 8 years of proven experience in a Project Management role within heavy industrial sectors (experience in the mining industry is a significant advantage).
- Demonstrated experience working within hardware/software technology companies, managing complex, large-scale, and multi-disciplinary projects.
- Proven track record of leading technical projects from inception through successful delivery in demanding, on-site industrial environments.
- Strong expertise in Hardware systems, including sensor deployment, industrial instrumentation, and hardware-software integration, particularly in heavy industrial applications.
- Hands-on experience with technology installations, end-to-end system integrations, and managing critical vendor/contractor relationships.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to navigate complex client relationships and lead high-level technical discussions.
- High-level problem-solving capabilities with the agility to mitigate technical and operational challenges quickly and effectively.
- Deep familiarity with standard project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, or equivalent).
- Ability to adapt, lead, and execute successfully in international, remote, and culturally diverse environments.
