As a Sr Technical Program Manager, you will lead the planning, management, communication, and governance of Couchbase Engineering and Cloud programs and projects in a collaborative, fast-paced, disciplined, results-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute efficient release management processes, ensuring the smooth and timely deployment of software updates while maintaining rigorous testing and validation protocols.
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive security programs, overseeing risk assessments, designing security strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards to safeguard organizational assets and data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions, consistently meeting and exceeding Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for both development and support functions.
- Formulate, organize, coordinate, and monitor inter-connected projects and programs that setup distributed teams for success
- Ensure clarity of cross-functional requirements with clear success criteria
- Resolve issues affecting scope, quality, and schedules
- Ensure issues and backlog is managed effectively and timely
- Effectively manage change and resources while escalating and managing risks at the earliest possible opportunity
- Work with the product team to clarify and specify the future of the product
- Manage dependencies across multiple work streams to identify potential risk areas through data-focused analysis and identify mitigation actions
- Communicate goals, status, risks, and impact to teams and stakeholders, adapting your communication style to your audience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5 - 7 Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team project
- 5 - 7 Experience with one or more of AWS, GCP and Azure platforms. Any level of certification is helpful, but not a requirement.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of large scale distributed systems design, and operational challenges.
- Adapt at working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with rapidly changing requirements.
- Experience partnering with engineering teams and driving execution across all phases of the software development lifecycle
- You enjoy working remote with people from all over the world
- You enjoy working with ambiguity and in a rapidly growing and changing environment
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise specifications, and executive reports.
