The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Program Management team working remotely in Seattle, Washington.

What You’ll Do

  1. Technical Collaboration and Delivery:
    • Work hands-on with data engineering teams to deliver data pipelines, governance frameworks, and analytics platforms.
    • Support enterprise solutions teams in delivering customer identity systems, subscription management tools, and payment platforms.
    • Facilitate Agile software development practices.
  2. Strategic Alignment and Prioritization:
    • Partner with product and engineering leaders to define technical roadmaps aligned with business goals.
    • Use data-driven approaches to prioritize initiatives and track progress.
    • Monitor and report program status through roadmaps, dashboards, and executive-level communication.
  3. Operational Excellence and Governance:
    • Lead data governance programs focusing on data quality, lineage, compliance, and security.
    • Implement improvements in engineering productivity through automation and shared tooling.
    • Champion platform enablement and standardization.
  4. Cross-Functional Leadership and Communication:
    • Serve as the central coordinator between data engineering, enterprise solutions, and other stakeholders.
    • Foster collaboration across teams through organizational reviews and business updates.
    • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership.
  5. Mentorship and Organizational Development:
    • Mentor TPMs and engineering leaders in program management best practices.
    • Lead initiatives to improve engineering culture, including telemetry, observability, and Agile processes.

The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

  • Experience:
    • 7+ years managing complex data and software engineering programs.
    • Proven track record in delivering projects across various domains.
    • Strong expertise in Agile methodologies.
    • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Kafka, DBT, Airflow).
  • Skills:
    • Solid understanding of data governance principles.
    • Strategic planning capabilities using frameworks like OKRs and SMART goals.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Acumen:
    • Familiarity with enterprise systems, distributed architectures, data platforms, and identity/authentication solutions.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and product leaders.
  • Education:
    • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.

For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $140,000.00 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
